South Beach Community Information

South Beach is legendary – for it’s hotels, nightlife, architecture and beach but mostly its energy. A premier travel destination that attracts people from all over the world which contribute to its cultural, societal and artistic diversity.

South Beach is not only a travel destination though, it is also home to many. With Luxury oceanfront and bayfront condos, single family-homes and low density condo complexes – home can come in an array of different sizes and price ranges.

Geographically, South Beach is a neighborhood in the city of Miami Beach and encompasses roughly the southernmost 23 blocks of the main “Miami Beach Island” that separates the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. It was the first area of Miami Beach to be developed in the early 1900’s by Carl Fisher and others.

SoFi is the area “South of Fifth” where you can unquestionably find the best in Miami Beach Luxury Condos. West Ave Corridor is the strip flanking West Avenue that runs North-South on the west side of the island – each area of South Beach has its own idiosyncrasies and charm.

When you talk about South Beach Real Estate you cannot leave out the Art Deco District which contains the largest concentration of 1920’s and 1930’s Streamline Moderne Art Deco architecture in the world with vibrantly colored buildings that represent an era when Miami was promoted and regarded as a “tropical playground”. Other architectural styles in south beach range from Streamline Moderne, to Mediterranean Revival, Florida Vernacular and of course MiMO (Miami Modern).
